Last week was finals week at my school, and overall I did quite well on all of my finals. I had three tests and three projects, and all of them went well. My math final was definitely the one I was most worried about and my preparations for it paid off. At my school, west campus, finals week is definitely a time a stress, and you can feel it. Its the time of year when you get messaged by at least three people a day asking about how each final test is, or what you do in class during the finals period.

One of the bonuses of finals week, is that school gets out at 12:40, which allowed me to get in more time for kata. Kata has been one of the hardest things for me to integrate into my daily schedule which you wouldn’t think when you look at the requirements. Three kata per day doesn’t sound that bad and its not, but one of the things I have always struggled with is procrastination, and this test has really highlighted that for me. I’ll do the kata later turns into later and later, and then I’ll do extra tomorrow, and that really starts to pill up and it has for me. I am starting to do 4 per day to get back the kata I am missing. Time management is another thing I have definitely struggled with, and this test has forced me to work on that, which kind of goes hand in hand with procrastination, and is one of my goals to work on for the year.

My current Challenge progress as of December 23, 2024.

  1. Congratulations on doing well on finals. Time management is difficult. It takes practice to get better at it. Don’t worry you will catch up kata with time.
