For those of you who don’t know me that well, after I graduate college I want to be a pilot for a commercial airline. Right now I am too young to get a pilots license, and flying is very expensive. A few years ago I started flying flight simulators to temporarily fulfill my aviation desire. Finding the reason I enjoy doing flight sims is very difficult for me, since it is really hard to describe to people why I like to run a flight sim flight on my computer for hours. (sometimes more than 12 hours in a row) When I try to explain to my friends, they are always like, how can you enjoy sitting in front of your computer for hours, staring at the flight sim? Of course, I don’t actually sit in front of my computer for hours on end if a flight sim is running, because this is really boring. It is just really hard to explain to people that I set the flight up. Take off. Then come back and land it in a few hours time. During that time period I just sit on my phone watching youtube, or do my homework or something along those lines. Flying flight sims is just something I really enjoy, and I can’t really explain why. The image I’m using for the header for this post is from the flight sim that I am running as I write this post. This is a sunrise screenshot from Stockholm-Tromsø.
