Last week and this week at school make up the AP testing weeks. This year I am only taking one AP test, which is AP calculus BC. I took that test yesterday, and I feel really good about how I did on that test. I think I at least got a 3, hopefully more though. During these testing weeks there are no bells which means that we actually get to leave our classes on time rather than when the 2 minute late bell goes off which is nice. This morning’s ap test was the AP lang test which is pretty much ap english. I chose not to take this class since English is pretty much my worst subject. Most junior students seemed to have taken this class considering that 2 thirds of my first period class were missing. The annoying thing about taking ap tests isn’t actually that you have to sit in a room for four hours doing whatever that subject is, its actually that it takes the proctors so long to administer the exams. The calc exams have a testing time of 3:15. I sat in that testing room for 4:40 minutes. This time isn’t as bad for tests taken on computers. Unfortunately calc just can’t be taken on computers just based on how the test works especially the free response questions. It also didn’t help that the proctor that did our exams had never proctored an exam before. This just made it take so much more time for our exam. There is one thing about exams taking so long, and that is that you get to skip more class time. My test took so long that I just skipped the remaining 4 or 5 minutes of fourth period. I am very glad that my ap test is over and I don’t have to take another one this week.
