State Testing

Next week, us juniors have to take SBAC/CAASPP testing. Of course this lines up perfectly to be right after AP testing which is kind of annoying. Next week is also AP makeup testing, which I don’t have to do, but I know people who do. It really is such unfortunate timing. There are four days of testing, of which I have to test on all four of them. I think there are two math sections and two english sections. From my knowledge the only thing that the tests are used for is for the school to brag about how good of students we are and pretty much nothing else. Most students are under the impression that state testing doesn’t actually mean anything, and they would be half right, since the test scores don’t actually impact them as students, only the school and its funding. These tests are probably part of the reason my school doesn’t actually get any funding, since we always do pretty good on them. I guess its more annoying than anything else, having these tests.
