I recently took up doing yoga once a week. I feel it is excellent for both mental centering and flexibility. I already feel the difference in my karate flexibility after 2 weeks. Helping with my kicks and comfort with movement. Yoga has always been something I’ve strived to do but have had difficulty keeping motivated to do it consistently. It doubles as a form of meditation and I feel can be very beneficial for overall health. I know that if I stay diligent with this practice, it will pay off in big ways. The key to this (as with my black belt training) will be to “keep at it”. As yoga itself is a form of martial arts, it will help significantly with my black belt training. There are many benefits to it and it is an enjoyable practice.
