For my 17th birthday there is only one thing that I really wanted and that was my first tattoo. I’ve always loved tattoos and body art and I don’t know why but I’ve always wanted one at a young age. What is cool about my tattoo is that it is my own design that I made. It is shark tooth with a Polynesian design inside it. It represents my first trip to Hawaii with my mom. I’ve also always loved the way Polynesian tattoos look and wanted a small one too. I’m so happy my mom let me get this tattoo but it took some convincing for my dad to let me get is as well. We had to go to a tattoo shop in Nevada because it technically isn’t legal for a minor to get a tattoo in California. The tattoo artist’s name was Marshall and he was really cool about it and fun to talk to. He really liked the design and was happy to do it. I was a little nervous at first because I didn’t know how much it would hurt but my body got used to the pain after a while. The whole tattoo took about 2 1/2 hours. I am supposed to keep it wrapped in plastic to it fully heals for about a week and I’m not allowed to spar or get hit in that area so I will have to catch up on sparring rounds but it is worth it.
