As myself and the other black belt candidates round the corner on the halfway mark of our test, I reflect on the progress I’ve made thus far. My personal goal is to be overall healthier in my life. Get proper sleep, eat better, avoid alcohol/sweets/caffeine, and have better mental and spiritual balance. Although I have a ways to go, I am satisfied with the things I have changed so far. I do find myself getting nervous more often about the actual test, but making these changes helps a lot to be mentally prepared. Having support from friends and family is also crucial. I’m terrible at public performances but I know deep down that I can do it with the support of loved ones and taking care of myself. Just over 5 months to go.

I am also nervous about the test. You are not alone in how you feel. Wow only five months to go. Keep on working. It will come soon.
Thank you for your support. I know we can do it!
