My Saturday this weekend was a whole lot of nothing which, for me, is a very foreign concept. I was able to do my morning exercises, then cooked a light brunch, then basically lounged around the rest of the day. As a very active person, this was mentally difficult but physically needed, I think. Rest days and “down days” are always important. Just as important as “activity days”. I felt very rested on Sunday and was happy for the rest day on Saturday. In the future, I would like to make it a point to incorporate these days into my regular routine. It is important to take a rest day to reflect and slow things down. In part, it is important for mental health, but I also think it is very important to physical health and balance. Life is balance and needs to include both yin and yang of energy.

Rest days are important. I am glad you are making time for them. It keeps us healthy.
