Flight School Update

I’ve still been flying, I just haven’t been writing about it too much. The most recent time we went up, my CFI had me plan a cross Country(XC) from University Airport to Napa. This was for me to learn how to navigate using visual references. The plan had us flying at a cruising altitude of 4,500 feet. The plan was to follow 80 and then at Nut Tree airport we would then follow some power lines to Napa airport. We did one touch and go at Napa and then flew back. This was also the shortest runway I had every landed on. ATC assigned us the shortest runway at Napa which for the day was 1R at just 2,500 feet. We then flew the same course back but in reverse. The plan going forward is that in a few weeks, me and my instructor are going to fly a long cross country, which the route that the flight school chooses for long cross country is KEDU(University) to KCIC(Chico) and then to KWLW(Willows) and back. After that I’ll do my solo check with the chief pilot, and after I’ll do my first solo. Not too long after that I’ll do my solo cross country.

My current Challenge progress as of November 7, 2024.
