Lucas Grant: Week 31

We are now around half way through summer, and overall it has been really good. As of now I have done 34,000 pushups and situps, I have gone almost 700 miles, I have done over 600 acts of kindness, I have done 650 rounds of kata, I have done almost 600 rounds of sparring, I have read 2 books, and so far completed 31 blogs. All of this means that I am on track to completing everything I need to do. Thus far, this overall experience has been really fun but very challenging. The first few months were brutal but after more than 6 months things have smoothed out quite a bit. The physical aspects like the pushups, situps, and miles have definitely gotten easier and I have seen a big change in my body structure. For the more mental aspects like the mediation, the reading, and acts of kindness there has definitely been an improvement but not as significant as the physical aspects. During my mediation it is still hard to keep my mind at ease and not let thoughts intrude, but I have gotten better. Reading is also something I thought was going to be easy going into the test but now realize that sometimes taking the time to sit down and read can be difficult when there are many other things that I could do, nevertheless, I have still improved. Last, for acts of kindness, there has definitely been an improvement, seeking out things to do has become a lot easier.
