This week was back to school week. All of summer led up to this, and it never really feels real until you sit down at your desk in your first class. It suddenly all sinks in and for the next 9 months you will be sitting at that same desk almost everyday every morning. But that’s not really a bad thing, most teens have a bad relationship with school but I like it. Having a routine to go off of and a schedule to stick to gives me some piece of mind. Sure, doing math homework after a long day isn’t fun, and the stress of an exam is always something to dread. But in the end, it’s an unavoidable part of life, so we might as well make the most of it. Also the stakes of high school give me motivation. Knowing that the actions that I take now could greatly affect my future is a big motivator. Also being able to put in raw work and effort and being able to see results is very rewarding. All in all, school has its ups and down, but I’m back now so I might as well make the most of it.
