For a while now my mom and I have been really into watching MMA and UFC, I guess it started when I started doing martial arts. Me and my mom have gone to a couple live events already and they have all been really amazing. A UFC Hall of Famer from Sacramento  Urijah Faber created his own amateur and professional MMA called A1 Combat that usually have events in Sacramento or all around California. This last one I got to go to was at the Hard Rock Hotel so it was a bigger arena than usual. There are many things I love about going to the live events. First there is the excitement of watching the fights in person. When I watch the fights in person it’s a whole different experience than watching it on tv and when I watch it in person I can watch closely what techniques the fighters use so I can practice them to better my own fighting skills as well. That’s partially why I take videos of them, so I can go back and watch the different moves and attacks they do in the cage. My second favorite part of going to the live shows is seeing and meeting the famous and locally famous fighters. Some of the fighters that usually show up to these events are my heroes and icons. They are people that inspire me to continue my martial arts and never quit. At this last event I was really lucky to meet some of my heroes and take some pictures with them too.  I met and took pictures with professional UFC fighters Urijah Faber, Josh Emmett, and Viacheslev Borshchev. I also met some locally famous fighters like James Guidry and Dwight Joseph who is the A1 Bantomweight champion. I also got to meet one of my favorite fighters and heroes Vince Murdock who I personally think it one of the best. He was really nice when I met him and took some pictures we got to talk to him for a little while after the fight because we saw him walking in the parking lot and coincidentally we parked right next to him which was really cool. I definitely want to come back to more events in the future and maybe in the future I could be training with all of these fighters at Urijah Fabers mma gym in Sacramento too.

My current Challenge progress as of November 7, 2024.
