Lucas Grant: Week 9

Following finals week, school is always pretty chill and easy. My schedule that was once super busy is now starting to settle down, there is still a lot to do but it is a lot more manageable. But one thing that is going to eat up my February is something for my school called the personal project. I attend the school Kit Carson International Academy, which is in a class of schools that follow the IB curriculum. IB means International Baccalaureate, to put it simply it is a school designed to prepare you for collage, meaning it is a bit more gulling than a usual high school. In order to move into 11th grade you need to complete something called the personal project, this project is really about anything you want it to be. The main conditions that need to be met is you have a learning goal and a final product to present. What I wanted to do for this project is learn how to 3D model. To do this I am using the software “Blender ” which is a software for 3D art widely used for video game modeling. This software is pretty beginner friendly so getting started wasn’t too bad. For my final product I am making a mars rover on a little expedition. It is going pretty well but it is due on the 28th of this month, and I need to make a 1500-3500 word essay on my process and such so I really need to get on it. I’d say it’s going pretty well but my schedule will definitely need to make space to work on it, a lot.

My current Challenge progress as of December 23, 2024.

  1. “Oppy” here we come!! Oh Lucas, that is so wonderful. Can’t wait to see the Mars Rover!!!! I am sure “you will NAIL IT”. Please keep us involved every step of the way. But don’t forget your Karate black belt regiment too. Lots on your plate right now. But I know you can handle it. Love, G.

  2. Lucas-San, What you are learning now–at this early age–about time management, will serve you for decades to come!
