Lucas Grant: Week 12

This was a rather exciting week! Especially the weekend because on Sunday I got my own car. I am so grateful to have parents that are willing to buy me my own car and I can’t thank them enough. The car I got was a 2010 Ford Fusion, it has 86,000 miles on it, which is not bad at all. Having a car really opens up my freedom, well… that’s when I get my license of course. Because for now having a parent right next to me everytime I drive limits my freedom by quite a bit. But it’s okay, I’m still super grateful that I had the opportunity to get a car at 15. It’s a huge milestone in my life, I will never forget this moment of getting this car. This is a large point of history in my life. I really feel as if I’m becoming an adult. And I’m so glad my parents trust me enough to give me such a big responsibility for that being a car. I promise I won’t let them down.

Anyways, my black belt journey has been going well. The workout is getting easier and I feel stronger than I did before I started. For example, I am now able to do 3 one-armed push-ups, before I started my test I couldn’t do even one. It’s super awesome to see my work that I put in really showing and that really boosts my confidence. 3 months down, only around 10 more to go!

  1. Yes, your own car is a wonderful, exciting new privilege. I know you have earned it by being such a great kid. Make sure you respect that. Also good work on the one-arm push ups!! Keep working hard Lucas!! Love, G
