Canadian gp sunday (6/9)

After returning from socal, both my mom and my aunt got sick. Not really sure what it was, it may have been covid, but we aren’t sure. Because of this, I couldn’t go to my dad’s house on that saturday like I usually do. On the following sunday (6/9) there was an f1 race, which was the canadian gp. This is one of the rare f1 races during the season that doesn’t start at 4,5, or 6 am for us on the west coast, which is a good treat for us. I drove to my dad’s house after my stepmom left for work to watch the race with my dad, and then after go to a simracing place in rocklin called race to reality. The race was the best race of the season so far with interchangeable conditions and great racing action. Max Verstappen still managed to win the race somehow, even with the crazy conditions and many safety cars. The race ended at around 1 and then me and my dad went to rocklin for the sim racing place. More specifically, this place has motion simulators which are really cool. We got there a little early and this allowed us to choose the track and car. We chose Laguna Seca for the track and the porsche 992 gt3 for the car. We did our 25 minute session and I set a 1:27.8 for my fastest time, which could have been better but I was getting used to the setup and feeling of going through the corners. My dad set a 1:44.4 for his fastest time. After the end of our 25 minutes, we went back to my dad’s house and I drove back to my mom’s house.

quick note, i wasn’t sick at the point of doing this, but i did get sick after.

My current Challenge progress as of December 23, 2024.
