It has been very hot for the last week and a bit, and we had to find a way to stay cool during the extreme heat. As such, we went to the pool. Being in the pool was definitely very refreshing even if the pool water wasn’t that cold. It was still better than being in the extreme heat. On the fourth of july, we went back to the pool and stayed for about 2 and half hours. Once we left, my dad picked me up and we went to my cousins’ house for dinner and fireworks. Me and my cousins, as well as some family friends spent some time in their barn trying to figure out what to do. Considering the heat we really didn’t want to do anything involving going outside, but eventually we decided that the best way to spend our time was to jump in their pond. So thats what we did. Unfortunately when we got into the pond, one person got stung by a wasp and couldn’t join us in the pond. We jumped in from the deck and then swam over to the jumping rock and jumped in from there. We then got out and dried off. We then had dinner which was very good, and after we drove over to the tennis courts at uc davis and played some “touch the wall.” Around 9 we drove back in time for dessert and fireworks. No one lost any fingers while lighting the fireworks, which is good, and overall it was a good night.
Unfortunately over the weekend, the ac broke at my dads house, but thankfully not completely. It broke in a way which the ac still worked in the bedrooms and bathrooms, but not in the hallways or open areas. Because of this, I put a towel between my door and the hallway which basically created a seal between the cool air in my room and the warm air in the hallways. Thankfully, it wasn’t that bad, but still a slight inconvenience.
