Beating the Heat

This week has been, to say the least, brutal with the excessive heatwave Sacramento is getting. It has been difficult to be motivated to do anything. The AC unit for my house is struggling to even keep it at 79 degrees. The biggest problem has been difficulty sleeping. I don’t sleep well with air conditioning going but to try and sleep when it’s this hot is unbearable. The lack of sleep and energy play a big role in my motivation to keep training. Just have to keep trying. As Lucas san frequently talks about, if you train in these conditions, it will be all the easier when it cools down. I do know that to be true. If you train harder during practice, the “big game” will be all the easier.

My current Challenge progress as of December 23, 2024.

  1. This heat is really uncomfortable. I can understand how hard it is to train and sleep in the heat. I try to do everything in the early morning so when it is hot I can just relax. If you miss days of training you can make them up on the weekend or cooler days. Your numbers look good so you don’t need to stress about missing a day or two of training.
