Happy holidays everyone! This last week and a half has been a big adventure and a ton of fun. I celebrated Christmas with my family up in Auburn and it was nice to be home this year.

A couple days after Christmas, I flew out to Florida to go on a Disney cruise with my dad, grandparents, and all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins on that side of the family. We had a smooth trip there and a mostly stress-free time boarding the ship. The cruise was 6 days and definitely one of the best vacations I’ve been on.

The trip had 3 stops at port, the first one took us to Nassau, the capitol of the Bahamas. While we were there, we went to Atlantis, the largest waterpark in the world. It was super fun and I went on a waterslide that drops you 50 feet and under a tank of sharks which was crazy.

The other 2 days at port were spent at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island in the Bahamas. The first day there was an unofficial 5k which I ran with my aunt and uncle. I finished in about 29 minutes which I was happy with. We were lucky to get a couple cabanas on a private area of the island and we spent the rest of our time there relaxing and playing in the ocean.

The rest of the cruise was filled with a ton of good food, quality time with family I don’t see very often, and several Broadway caliber shows including Beauty and the Beast. We spent New Years on the ship and there was a massive deck party and fireworks. At midnight on the first, they opened up the big waterslide on the ship and I rang in the new year by going down it. It was super wet and cold but very worth it. Overall, it was a great vacation and I am super glad I was able to go.
