We are about to be in the last 3 months (the final 25%) of our black belt trial and I am really starting to feel the pressure. I have just started really ramping up my numbers in push ups, sit ups, and kumite. For the sparring portion, I have been coming in on the weekends with dojomates to get much needed sparring time. I am really enjoying this as it helps to reinforce comradery as well as helping with my physical fitness and training. It always feels great to accomplish little things like this and to be heading in the right direction. I know that I have a lot of work to do also in fine tuning my kata so as to be ready for the big day. I will give it my all and not give up. I know that if I just keep heading in this direction, it will greatly benefit me for the future. I have also come to grips with the knowledge that it is a possibility I may not pass the black belt test but I know that if I keep bettering myself, I will still have succeeded. I’m grateful for my fellow team in helping me accomplish this task.
