Going to Museums

When I was in Oakland we also took a trip to the Oakland Museum of California which was an awesome place. I’ve always loved going to museum especially the history museums to see all the artifacts from the past and the cool artwork. It was so big that we only got to visit the history and art sections but there were so many more. Hopefully I will get to go back to explore the rest of the exhibits. Museums can really impress me by showing that literally anything can be represented as art. I especially love the oil paintings on canvas that show nature or settlers in the 1800s. It surprises me how realistic paintings can be and what makes them even more cool are the frames they are hung in. I always find myself liking the style of the frames more than some of the paintings themselves. One of my favorite museums is the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento. I’ve been going there since I was a little kid and every time I go there I find a new section with new sculptures and pieces to see. I love how some of the museum is built in an old mansion from the 1800s.
