This week and weekend in particular have been exceptionally busy. Had a busy week with extracurricular activities almost every night, then a big weekend with a birthday party on Friday and another birthday party on Saturday. Keeping so busy certainly gets exhausting but I feel it’s worth for the lasting experiences with loved ones. Losing sleep, however, is 100% detrimental. I’m constantly reminded as to the importance of getting sleep. Due to being up late at a party Friday and then prepping for another big/long party Saturday, I was unable to get any training in. I am reminded of how important rest is to keep up with training and stay healthy. With my black belt journey being halfway over, it is vital to remember this. I know that this rigorous lifestyle needs balance. Much like yin and yang, life requires both training and rest for sustainability. Preferably in equal amounts.

It is not always easy to train every day. Some days I am really tired. You can always do more on a different day. You could try to go to bed earlier during the week to catch up on lack of sleep. This weekend I hope is more restful for you.
