On January 13th Lucas and Cooper had successfully completed their Black Belt test which included doing kata for a hour and sparring for a hour. I think I learned a lot about what I have to complete at the end of my test just from observing. Now I know that I really need to work on and build up my endurance for the sparring portion and practice staying calm under pressure while doing kata. I was so glad I could be a part of their test in the kata and sparring sections just because it is such a huge part in their lives. My favorite part of their test was watching and cheering them on while they sparred because it was really inspiring seeing my friends facing a really tough challenge, never giving up, and always getting back up when they got knocked down.
