Lucas Grant: Week 14

This weekend was finally a time to relax. The past few weekends have been action packed and it took a toll on my body so having this rest time was much needed. I also got to do something super cool which is, I got to visit a family member who is a civil engineer. They showed me around their job site and the different ins and outs of being a civil engineer. I want to be a civil engineer when I grow up so this was a great experience to see how it works in the real world. The concept of being able to make a lasting positive change in the world has enticed me a lot. So a civil engineer that is able to make bridges and such that people will always use really interests me.

My test is going pretty well so far! I can feel the soreness of my body creeping back. When I go to do push-ups some days they are no problem, and others it is a lot more challenging. Nevertheless I’m getting fairly proficient at my test.

My current Challenge progress as of December 23, 2024.

  1. Lukas,

Consider writing a haiku for one of your weekly journal entries. Rules are simple. Three lines: five syllables, then seven syllables, then five syllables No rhymes required. Example:

    Duel
    Bo slices though air
    Crack, blood trickles from temple
    White chrysanthemum

    1. Lucas, I really enjoyed meeting cousin Tim too. Interesting stuff and fun to see the BIG machines. Let’s go again when the bridge is near finished. Love, G
