DAR Colorguard

1 min read 151 words 1 views

I spent this Saturday morning leading a colorguard team for the State Society Council meeting for the California Daughters of the American Revolution at the downtown Sheraton. I lead colorguard events all the time, but this one was a little more complicated because we had to post the colors. Posting colors is basically just putting the flags in stands and leaving them there rather than just presenting the colors during the national anthem. After we posted the colors, I was called up onto the stage to receive an appreciation award for our AFJROTC unit. Overall the event went really well and all the people there were very nice!

After the event, our ASI (aerospace science instructor) took us out to brunch at the Iron Horse Tavern. It was so much fun to hang out with my friends at the restaurant. Hopefully I have more colorguard events like this in the future!
