This past July I injured my thumb while sparring in class. About 2 years ago I broke the same thumb at a tournament, so I was very worried this would affect my test. After going to the doctor and getting an x-ray I found out that it was not broken and would most likely heal in 4-6 weeks.
Seeing as I couldn’t put any pressure on my hand, I substituted push-ups for squats. This was honestly great because I can do a lot more squats in a row than push-ups. This past week I have slowly been adding push-ups back into my routine and doing less squats. The pain is still lingering in my thumb so I’m trying to ease back into push-ups slowly.
