It is Christmas time. I love this time of the year. I get to see family I have not seen for a long time. I enjoy eating great desserts and lavish meals. We see x-mas lights around town. We get a x-mas tree and decorate it. We buy presents, wrap, and give to our family and friends. We make pies, cookies, and large meals to enjoy. The best part is being thankful for the life I have with family and friends. I am so lucky because without them I would not be as happy as I am today.
Unfortunately there are many people in this world who do not have much. They do not have shelter, food, fresh water, health care, and people who care for them. For example there are many many homeless in our country and Sacramento. Anytime I see someone begging for food I try and give them some food. They are always so thankful and happy I took the time to notice them and give them food. I made their day a little brighter with that small act of kindness. Try it and you will feel glad you did it. Happy Holidays everyone.
You’re absolutely right, being thankful and giving to others is good for all involved. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I love this time of year too – a wonderful time to spend quality time with family and reflect on the year as it ends. It was wonderful to spend time with you and our families this week, Elan! I look forward to following your challenge on this blog over the upcoming year! Happy New Year, cuz! ❤️
I get this same feeling around the holidays. The combination of the cold weather and the feeling of being blessed with good food, shelter, health, and a loving family and community really puts things into perspective about how lucky I am.
