I have not given up, I am here!! I have been sick since the middle of March. I thought I had recovered on my trip, all I had was a cough. But two days after we got home, I got sick again. I had a really bad cough, lost my voice, low energy. I am getting better. I still have a cough. I have been trying to not think about numbers and do what I can. I get tired quickly. Running/jogging is hard, because I still cough a lot. I’m glad that I am put some numbers up. My goal is to get back into class next week. I have to be mindful of how much I am exerting myself with work and training because I am worried about doing too much and getting sick again.

Work at the Institution has been busy. There is a lot of activity, which makes for long work days, or working on my day off.

Baby bird season at Tri County is in full swing. We have about 30-40 animals in care as of today. A lot of my spare time is spent there. I try to fit in pushups and sit-ups in-between feeding rounds. I knew as soon as Baby Bird Season started at the Center, I would be struggling to balance everything. That is why I was trying to get “extra” done in Dec/Jan/Feb. Right now, I am grateful to be able to still participate and do what I can.  Hope to see you all soon!

My current Challenge progress as of December 23, 2024.

  1. Focus on getting healthy. That’s so awesome you spend most of your free time helping all the needy animals. Your kindness is inspiring.
