Finals

This week at my school is finals week. This is the last week of the first semester, so I have a week of early release days, but also a week filled with lots of hard tests. Because I am now an upperclassman, I don’t have as many hard curriculum classes, so I only have three finals to take in math, English, and history, but they are all expected to be very difficult. I have been trying to balance my school time, after-school time, and karate/work time so that I can maximize my studying. I have always been a straight-A student my whole life; however, this year has been more difficult, so my grades have dropped a little bit. I think that this is because I was very stressed at the beginning of the school year, so my grades fell a lot, making it hard to recover. However, I know that if I do well on my finals that I can get my grades up across all of my classes, so I have been studying a lot to ensure that I get good grades on these tests. Thankfully, by the end of this week, I will be done with finals, and I won’t have to deal with finals again until June.

  1. I hope you did well on your finals. Try not to put so much stress on being a straight A student. You are very busy with working at the dojo and the challenge. That doesn’t give you the same amount of time to study as in the past. Learning to balance all of it is a great lesson.
