Homecoming Week

1 min read 160 words 1 views

This week has been extremely busy in ROTC. All week we had 0 period parade practice because on friday we had the homecoming parade. On Tuesday, we had the homecoming rally and I was on the colorguard for it. And finally on friday we did the parade. I honestly don’t like hoco week because everything is very stressful.

The 0 period parade practice is really annoying because we have to march around the track all period. It is FREEZING out there. At least I’m getting my miles in. Normally in 0 period we practice colorguard, so it was difficult fitting in rally practice with parade practice.

The parade went well, as always. Because I’m Group Commander, I was on the side of the parade calling cadence the entire time. Calling cadence for 30 minutes straight is exhausting and by the end of it my voice was gone.

I will definitely not miss this part of ROTC when I graduate.

My current Challenge progress as of October 19, 2026.
