I am reading The Five Rings Miyamoto Musashi Art Of Strategy. We are also reading it as a group. There are so many concepts in this book to learn from. One of the concepts I can relate to. “If you train diligently in this skill, you will get to the heart of strategy itself and in this way become able to win at will. You must practice constantly.” For example, in this challenge we have to do a single kata 1,000 times. I practice my kata three times in one day. I only did not practice when I was very sick or injured. Since I practice every day I feel like it has improved from where I was at in the beginning of this journey. Practice makes it get better. I feel like it I am understanding the heart of the kata much more than before. If I ever had to use karate for protection I feel those movements from the kata would help me win the fight.

That’s great. I think muscle memory is a real thing that comes from regular consistent practice.
