College Plans

I haven’t really talked about this much here, so I think that I’m going to use this blog as an opportunity to share what my college plans are. Ever since I was in elementary school, I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher when I am older. More specifically, a kindergarten teacher. I have always loved working with kids, and my job at the dojo right now revolves entirely around working with and teaching young kids. So when I go to college, I am going to get my liberal studies degree so that I can become an elementary school teacher! During spring break, my family and I took a trip to San Luis Obispo to look at the college campus. It would be an extremely cool place to get an education from. I have always wanted to go to Cal Poly Humboldt. My dad went there when he was in college, and I really want to go there as well. It is an extremely nice city since it has both the beach and the redwoods surrounding the campus. It also offers one of the best liberal studies programs in the state. I know that I am only a junior at the moment, and I haven’t officially started applying to any schools, let alone commit to anything yet, but at the moment, this is exactly what I want to do after high school!

  1. Humboldt State is a wonderful school. I went there and loved it. You will get an excellent education and life experiences that you will remember for the rest of your life. It is also a very beautiful place to live with the redwoods and ocean very close to the campus.
