Today is Mothers Day! I know that I have made a blog about my dad on my blogs and how he is doing the black belt test with me, however I have never really written about my mom on my blogs before, and I think that this is the perfect opportunity. When I was first training at the dojo, long before I could drive myself anywhere, my mom would go to all of my karate classes to watch me train. However after Covid hit, both of my parents weren’t able to watch me at the dojo as often. When I got a little bit older, around 12-14, I absolutely refused to have either of my parents at the dojo to watch me train, so there were many years that my parents weren’t really watching me at the dojo, however they have always been supporting me. Ever since I officially started my black belt test, my mom has been a huge supporter of my training. Even though she has expressed that she is very nervous to see me during my black belt test because she doesn’t want to see me get hurt, she still comes to my classes to watch me train. I love having her in the dojo with me, to support me along this journey. This year for Mother’s Day we went to Top Golf for a couple of hours. We have never done this as a family before, but it is something that we have been wanting to do for a while now. It was a lot of fun and then we got dinner afterwards. It was a very fun day as a family. Happy Mothers Day!

That sounds like an enjoyable way to spend Mother’s Day. It’s wonderful that both your parents are so supportive in your training. That’s a cute picture of you together.
