Something that I’ve never really talked about on here before is how I keep track of all of my numbers for this test. So allow me to explain! My dad makes me a bunch of small notebooks using old magazine pages for the covers and recycled paper on the inside. I go through them so quickly so I thought that it would be better if we could just hand make them rather than order a bunch of notebooks online. In each notebook every page, front and back, has the exact same thing written inside of them: pushups, situps, makiwara, kata, sparring, miles, meditation and kindness. Every single day from this thirteen month journey has its own page, and every time I do any of the things that I listed above, I write a tally mark in my notebook. Pushups, situps, and makiwara and tally marks in sets of ten, and everything else is tally marks in singular marks. Every single day I have to do both 170 pushups and 170 situps. If I don’t finish all of those numbers, then I put a white sticky note on that particular page so that I know that I need to go back and finish it. If it is a day where I don’t finish my pushups or situps but for instance I got a bunch of sparring rounds done on that day, I put a green sticky note on that particular page so that I can make it a priority to finish since it has additional numbers on it. It’s a very tedious process, but one that took me months to fully perfect and I think that it is the most effective and efficient way for me to keep track of all of my numbers throughout this test!

What a great system! Thanks for sharing how you accomplish this. And handmade notebooks — what a cool idea! Love it!
Those notebooks are very artistic. That seems like a good way to keep track of your numbers. Your numbers look on track to finish early. You really caught up this summer. Awesome.
