I am officially 18 years old! I celebrated my birthday this past Sunday with my family and it was very fun. My mom made chocolate chip waffles for breakfast and I opened some gifts. After that my sister and I went to the mall. There are a lot of companies that offer free rewards to you on your birthday, so we tried to take advantage of some of those deals. For dinner my family and I went to Paesanos. This is one of my favorite restaurants and I ordered the baked pasta. For dessert we got frozen yogurt. It was a very fun birthday spent with my family. It is very surreal to now be 18 and a legal adult. I know that if you were to ask my dad, he would say that 18 year olds aren’t “real” adults, but despite that, it’s still a strange feeling. Nothing has really changed that much in my life except for the fact that I can vote and get a credit card. This week is definitely unique because in the span of one week, I turned eighteen, and in a few days I’m taking my black belt test. I’m still trying to process everything that is going on in my life at the moment. Being 18 is weird, but knowing that in a few days I’m taking my black belt test is an even weirder feeling. I’m not really sure how to describe it. This is definitely a very stressful week, and I’m going to be so relieved once it’s done, but I’m still trying to enjoy the last few days of my test despite the stressfulness of it all. I think I’m as ready as I can be. At this point there isn’t much more that I can do to prepare other than keep myself injury free and try to eat as healthy as I can to keep myself in the best shape possible!
