Summer is officially ending so here is a recap of everything that I did during my summer break. I kicked summer off by going to Sun Splash with a few friends. A few days after that my family and I saw Toy Story 5! Toy Story was my favorite movie franchise when I was a kid, and it was super nostalgic getting to watch the 5th movie right before I went into my senior year of high school. That same evening we left on our trip to New York City! On that trip we went to six different states in 13 days. It was a really cool trip and my first time on the East Coast. Once we got back it was the Fourth of July which I spent with my family and Elinor. That next day Elinor and I had a day trip to Stinson Beach. Shortly after that, my parents and my sister left on their trip to Oregon. I was originally going to go with them, but I decided to stay behind in order to catch up with my numbers for my black belt test. I spent five days by myself nonstop training and working on catching up. I did get some FOMO by not being on the trip with them, but in the end it was worth it because I got very caught up. I spent the last two weeks of summer on staff for my JROTC camp, CLC! I wrote a more in depth blog post about CLC last week, but here are the highlights; I was a group commander with Elinor, we taught the incoming freshman how to drill, and we started working on special teams like Colorguard. Now summer is over and I am starting my Senior year of High School!
