    • Congrats on being group CC — that’s a high leadership position! My son did CLC for AFJROTC and enjoyed it. Sounds like you are as well. May you continue to learn as much from your students as they learn from you 🙂

    State Fair

On July 26th I went to the State Fair! The State Fair is my favorite part of summer because I LOVE roller coasters and rides. My favorite ride at the fair is this really really tall ride with 4 seats at either end.…

    Numbers Notebooks

Something that I’ve never really talked about on here before is how I keep track of all of my numbers for this test. So allow me to explain! My dad makes me a bunch of small notebooks using old magazine pages for t…

    • What a great system! Thanks for sharing how you accomplish this. And handmade notebooks — what a cool idea! Love it!

    • Those notebooks are very artistic. That seems like a good way to keep track of your numbers. Your numbers look on track to finish early. You really caught up this summer. Awesome.

    • Congratulations! Well done in kata and sparring. It looks like a great tournament to compete in.

    • Congrats on your placements in the tournament! I was so happy to finally begin to meet members of my dojo. I’m glad you enjoyed visiting my “new” home state! I look forward to seeing you in California soon!

    • Beautiful kata! You really nailed the most challenging sections, such as the spin, which can be especially challenging on an unfamiliar surface. Thank you for representing the dojo so well!

    Extreme Catchup

In the past two weeks of me being back in town from my vacation, I have been in the dojo every single day, multiple times a day so that I can catch up on all of my numbers. My dad and I go into the dojo every…

    • That’s fantastic that you have caught up in your numbers. It takes dedication and you have lots of that. Injuries are difficult during the test. Part of the test is how you get through them and preserve. Modify what you can so you can heal. Keep of the good work.

    • Great job in your dedication to completing your tasks. I hope you’re aware that arnica helps with bruising. I even took the internal kind in the months leading up to my shodan test. Keep up the great work!

    • I can testify to your numbers since I’m the one that gets the dojo alarm notifications at odd hours from you popping in and every time the video thumbnail pops up, it’s of you working diligently. I’m proud of your work. You’re almost there!
